Ubisecure and Cortego collaborating to deliver cost-effective solutions in identity management and access control

Identity management and access control have become increasingly business-critical. In order to meet the market demand, Ubisecure and Cortego have signed a partnership agreement. This collaboration means that both companies will be able to offer their services and products jointly to companies and public sector authorities needing to secure and develop their online services.

Customers and partners of companies and authorities are increasingly demanding services over the Internet. It is therefore becoming increasingly common for companies and authorities to offer their customers and partners, in other words their external users, access to their e-services over the Internet. It then becomes important to know that only the right people have access to the right information and services.

Two major challenges face such e-services: firstly, the need to register users in such a way that the company can know for certain who the user is, and secondly that this person subsequently has access and authorization to the right information and services within the company's or authority's services, preferably based on just one single sign-on. Managing user identities in a secure, profitable and customer-focused way is the top priority for delivering successful online services.

Ubisecure solves challenges in the areas of identity and authorization by delivering products that enable companies and authorities to offer their external users a fully automated self-registration process that can verify the user's identity at a level equivalent to bank security. This also enables users to delegate their authorizations to other people, to reduce the number of separate sign-ins by customers, and enables companies and authorities to rely on each other's registered customers through what is known as identity federation.

Cortego offers services to secure companies’ and authorities’ businesses through advanced applications for managing identities and passwords, and traceability in logs. Cortego also specialises in architecture, systems development, integration, IT security and IT management.
