Chris Hudson joins the RapidLEI team, bringing extensive experience in the Certification Authority industry to the worldwide LEI movement.

June 2019, London UKRapidLEI, a pioneering GLEIF-accredited Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) issuer, today announces the appointment of Chris Hudson as new Director of Channel Sales.

RapidLEI automates the LEI issuance process to deliver LEIs easily in minutes, compared to the traditional method of manually applying for an LEI on behalf of a customer, often taking days to complete. Thanks to this ground-breaking automation technique, RapidLEI grew 135% in the first quarter of 2019 – and it’s not slowing down.

To support this period of high growth Chris will be establishing new, and nurturing existing, partner relationships and helping partners to succeed with LEI opportunities and new use cases.

Prior to making the move to the LEI industry, Chris spent 15 years in the Certification Authority (CA) industry – most recently as Channel Sales Manager at GlobalSign, introducing, developing and managing several highly-successful partnerships and partnership programmes. He will replicate that experience in his new role at RapidLEI, continuing the growth of its partner channel.

Chris’s experience with digital certificates is a useful asset to RapidLEI, whose growing partner network now enables a joint use case incorporating LEIs into SSL certificates. This integration provides significant value to CAs, as the LEI provides a live, unique key to verifiable level 1 “who is who” business data and level 2 “who owns who” parental structures. LEIs are required to be updated at least annually, so always offer an improved alternative over any static multi-year certificates or other static data formats.

Chris Hudson says, “RapidLEI is partner-first, which I see as instrumental to support growing global demand for Legal Entity Identifiers, and particularly demand for the RapidLEI automation model. I’ve always endorsed the importance of providing a great partner experience, making sure that partners are supported to achieve the best results possible. I am incredibly excited to bring that approach to my new role at RapidLEI.”

Paul Tourret, Corporate Development Officer at RapidLEI says, “Having previously co-founded successful Certification Authorities, I see LEIs following the same global adoption growth as digital certificates, and perhaps even quicker. It’s fantastic to have Chris on board the RapidLEI team as he is perfectly placed to support new technology use cases such as the integration of LEIs into digital certificates, and has a proven ability to grow a successful channel programme in a time of rapid industry growth.”
