As Group CEO, Simon is responsible for planning, communicating and delivering Ubisecure’s overall vision and corporate strategy to enable the true potential of digital business through modern identity management solutions. Prior to joining Ubisecure, Simon was CTO at GMO GlobalSign, a leading global Certification Authority, where he led the technical and strategic growth of the company. Simon has also held executive positions QuantumWave Capital where he led the Venture Building practice, Talecom, an enterprise mobile software company, Artilium PLC, the mobile virtual network enabler, and flyingSPARK, a mobile applications company. Simon graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from Southampton University. He holds multiple patents in the field of mobile internet software systems design.
As Group CFO, Andy is responsible for all aspects of Ubisecure’s financial, administration and corporate control/governance functions. Prior to joining Ubisecure, Andy was responsible for building GMO GlobalSign’s European F&A organisation, including the creation of several business analytics initiatives responsible for monitoring and acting on key HR, finance and performance data. Andy is a former professional footballer with a footballing career that spanned 17 years, including being an under 18 England schoolboy international. Since leaving the sporting world behind, he now applies the philosophy of a professional sportsperson, namely perseverance, team work and dealing with lessons learned, to the world of corporate finance where he believes they can be put into so many diverse, real time, challenging situations critical for success in today’s rapidly moving business environment.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Steve is responsible for Ubisecure’s corporate marketing and communication, partner and customer communication, demand generation and brand development.
Prior to Ubisecure, Steve was a co-founder and executive board member of GMO GlobalSign, a global Certification Authority, where along with Paul Tourret, helped grow the company to over 400 people, and established leading market positions in several verticals and global territories including the US, Latin America, UK and Nordics. Steve has over 12 years experience building early stage cybersecurity companies including GlobalSign (now part of GMO group), GeoTrust (acquired by Verisign) and Comodo.
Corporate Development Officer
As Corporate Development Officer for Ubisecure, Paul takes a leadership role in the planning and excution of strategies to meet organisational objectives and is responsible for strategic alliances, identifying and acquiring companies (M&A), securing corporate financing, licensing and other business development opportunities for new Ubisecure solutions and technology.
Paul joins Ubisecure as an executive board member and investor. Prior to Ubisecure, Paul was a co-founder and executive board member of GMO GlobalSign, a global Certification Authority, where along with Steve Waite, helped grow the company to over 400 people and established leading market positions in several verticals and global territories including the US, Latin America, UK, Europe and Nordics. Paul has over 20 years experience building cybersecurity companies including GlobalSign, GeoTrust (acquired by Verisign) and Comodo.
Senior Vice President, Identity Services
Steve is responsible for accelerating Ubisecure’s market reach and new identity services development and is a passionate business and process visionary with a proven track record centered around Identity Assurance. In 2005 Steve assembled all major players in the Certification Authority industry and Browser Industry to form the CA/B Forum (www.cabforum.org) eventually resulting in the adoption of more rigorous validation processes as well as uniting the industry in the creation and adoption of common workflow standards for TLS sever certificate provision. Focused on building empowered customer-centric organisations with innovative product workflows & experiences Steve is a veteran of the Identity Assurance industry with several patents adding significant value to the GMO GlobalSign group IP portfolio during his 11 year tenure in the executive business development role (2006-2017).
Petteri was one of the original founders of Ubisecure. He is passionate about solving complex Identity and Access Management problems using optimised combinations of new techniques and global standards. Petteri has been crafting IAM solutions for over 15 years and brings a well-honed, mature understanding to both software development and IAM techniques, protocols and standards.
As one of Ubisecure’s primary representatives to the various standards bodies Petteri attends and contributes to a number of global events each year including The MODRNA working group for OpenID, FICOM, Kantara, and CSC.
Head of Sales
As Ubisecure’s Head of Sales, Paul is responsible for growing Ubisecure’s addressable market, delivering customer and partner success, and driving revenue growth across Europe. Paul’s team includes sales, customer success, partner ecosystems and business development.
Paul has a long and successful career in sales organisations at several Fortune 100 technology companies. During his career in enterprise sales, Paul held a long tenure at Oracle, joining as part of their acquisition of Oblix. His role was to plan, lead and integrate Oblix into Oracle pan-EMEA, as the company’s first acquisition within the security space. The focus of his role was to establish a new security line of business for Oracle, focusing on Identity Management.
Paul most recently served as the Sales Director UKI for HP Enterprise before and after the company’s merger with Micro Focus. Prior to joining HP Enterprise, Paul held Sales Director roles at Guidance Software (acquired by OpenText) and UK-based Clearswift. Other experience, especially relevant to Ubisecure’s partner-first market approach, came from Paul’s time at Axial Systems, a VC funded System Integrator.
VP, Customer Success
Keith Uber is Vice President of Customer Success for Identity and Access Management products at Ubisecure. He joined the company in 2009 and is a product expert leading a team responsible for consulting with customers to select, design, configure and deploy Ubisecure’s IAM product portfolio. Keith also drives customer adoption and use of the Ubisecure product set provides a broader platform for external engagement. Keith coordinates the IAM Academy training program for partners, customers and end-users. Keith has contributed his expertise to many large-scale governmental, corporate and research projects around the world.
Keith has a long experience in enterprise IT systems. Keith’s career in Identity and Access Management began at mobile network operator TeliaSonera over a decade ago. He represented Ubisecure as the secretary of the Telecommunications Identity working group of the Kantara Initiative 2011-2013. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Kantara eGovernment working group, helping to co-ordinate standards interoperability for Identity and Access Management systems in the eGovernment space. Keith represents Ubisecure on technical working groups of the OpenID Foundation and GSMA.
VP, Business Development Nordics
Charles has been a passionate member of the global Identity and Access Management community for more than 15 years and continues to actively participate through his role as Business Development Director for Ubisecure. His prime responsibility is to help the Ubisecure team extend the reach of identity management opportunities in key verticals. Charles was an original founder of Ubisecure and has participated in developing national standards and identity standard profiles in the Nordics for identity and federated authentication and authorization. He is currently utilizing his global experience as an identity framework expert as a member on the Steering Group of the Finnish National Identity Federation Network.
VP, Business Development UK & Central Europe
Jon is a senior Sales Leader who specializes in building international sales teams that focus on the delivery of growth goals and revenue results. His belief is that all successful sales teams need to develop a high performance sales culture, excellent talent management strategies and best-in-class sales process. In his Sales Leadership roles, Jon has a passion for building robust teams that increase revenue, grow the top line, acquire new customers and win new business. During his long and varied career Jon has built many successful teams utilising the strengths of individuals to ensure the sales process adds the most value to the client and to the bottom line. As a high performance sales professional in his own right, Jon has specialized in securing large scale, strategic solutions that mirror business drivers, deliver customer needs and enable business transformation. The variety and industry background of his client projects has given him exposure to all facets of commercial development in both the public and private sectors.
VP, UK & Central Europe Sales
Charlie is a Technology Sales expert, consultant and business leader specializing in driving profitable growth within the UK and Europe through proactive account management and proactive business development. His extensive knowledge of the Technology, Cyber and IAM industries helped establish and develop partnerships with vendors, enterprise, small to medium sized businesses, start-ups, venture capitalists, CxO and middle management clients.
Charlie started his career working for a Cisco Gold Partner developing a customer base within the Telco industry and soon moved into developing a large services business model. Charlie continued his career moving into security and emerging technologies. After developing his own business he became a leader within the IAM and CIAM industries and has worked with some of the globes leading vendors providing advice and securing sales within the Telco, FS and Retail sectors through his ability to develop relationships across CxO, Management and Employee levels. Charlie is also keen on generating innovation opportunities within the UK and works with local universities assisting on developing opportunities within IAM, CIAM and Cyber. Renowned as a strong communicator and a Director capable of establishing, training and developing teams to enable them to fulfil their potential and add value to the business.
VP, Product Management
John Jellema is VP of Product Management for Identity and Access Management products at Ubisecure. He joined the company in 2017 and is a product management expert whose focus is to rationalize and coordinate the expectations of our Customers into the development roadmap plans of our Engineering teams.
John has extensive experience working on portfolios of products in his 19 year tenure with Verizon, a global telecommunications company. Serving all market verticals with both wide area networking and security products. Across his tenure, he has been a customer advocate within the company ensuring developed products cater to the needs of existing and potential customers.
Tomi Määttänen is VP, Operations for Ubissecure and has responsibilities covering product development, cloud services and product support.
During his Ubisecure career, Tomi was previously Product Manager for the Ubisecure SSO product. Before joining Ubisecure Tomi was a Product Manager at Sininen Meteoriitti, where he was responsible for web Content Management software product development. He was also delivering customer projects with Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint 2010. He was also Director for Mobile Services at Sunpoint Portal services, customer mobile services and enterprise mobile solutions. Prior positions include system integration and software development at the Nokia Research Center and Development Manager at Markdata Oy delivering payment and POS solutions to the retail sector.
Tomi Määttänen holds a M.Sc. from the Helsinki University of Technology.
Director, Sales Engineering
As Director of Sales Engineering, Risto is leading the Sales Engineering team responsible for presenting and demonstrating Ubisecure’s Identity and Access Management product features and consulting with customers and partners to configure and deploy the products. The team is also responsible for the IAM Academy training program for partners and customers.
Risto has over 15 years of experience in Identity and Access Management area. He has participated numerous IAM projects as product specialist, IAM consultant and steering group member. He has strong experience in deploying Ubisecure’s products as well as several other IAM products to fulfil customers’ requirements. Prior to joining Ubisecure in 2015, Risto was heading the IAM service area at Tieto.
Tero is responsible for leading Ubisecure’s Engineering team. He joined Ubisecure in 2017 as a highly experienced software engineering professional with a background of 15 years in IT business focusing on technical leading, architecting, and crafting complex distributed systems. He has Master’s in telecommunications and software engineering.
Tero has worked for high-profile Finnish companies like Vaisala and Nordea and has been occupying various technical lead and architectural positions, without forgetting hands-on development activities. He brings tremendous amount of technical expertise to Ubisecure and helps the company to modernize its development processes, tools, and methodologies but also contributes actively to architecture and development activities.
VP, Nordic Sales
Heikki Junikka is VP of Sales Nordic. Heikki joined Ubisecure in 2015 and is responsible for driving and managing sales in Finland and the Nordic region both through the channel and directly. He has signficant experience of software and hardware related sales including computers, services, networks, enterprise software, document management, archiving, e-services, data warehouse, and reporting. He has worked during his career in international and domestic markets and prior to joining Ubisecure was a Customer Experience Director at digitalisation services company Siili Solutions. Heikki is a Computer Engineer and full MBA graduate from Helsinki University of Technology.
Country Manager DACH
Volker Zinser is Country Manager DACH for Ubisecure as of 2019, and is an IT Security business veteran. He brings 20+ years of experience in the IT Security business to his new role, most recently serving as Director of Sales, Cyber Security Solutions at CA Technologies.
He is responsible for driving Ubisecure’s expansion into the DACH region, comprising of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
