Next stage of rapid growth sees Ubisecure enter German, Austrian and Swiss markets.

Helsinki, Finland and Munich, Germany – April 11, 2019  Ubisecure, a leading B2B Identity Services provider and the fastest growing accredited Legal Entity Identifier issuer, has appointed IT Security business veteran Volker Zinser to the strategic role of Country Manager DACH. The appointment comes as Ubisecure enters its next phase of European expansion into Germany, Austria and Switzerland, having successfully expanded out of its Finnish home with new customers and partners welcomed in Sweden, Norway, the UK and BENELUX.

The focus of new business in the DACH region will begin with the expansion of the Ubisecure Partner Programme to include DACH partners, and the launch of the Ubisecure Identity Platform into the region. The platform consists of productised Customer IAM middleware and API tooling that helps organisations of all sizes more effectively, and more securely, manage the digital identities and identity data associated with their customers or users.

The platform supports today’s digital transformation initiatives by making it easier for developers to build often complex, standards-based customer identity management functionality into their applications. Typically, Ubisecure customers use the Identity Platform to embed functionality including single sign-on; multifactor authentication; social, strong and mobile identities; contextual authentication; unified identity profiles and data storage; consent governance; and support for identity standards like OpenID Connect, OAuth and SAML. Additionally, complex identity-based workflows, such as managing the access rights and authority delegated from one entity or individual to another, can be digitalised, streamlined and embedded directly into customer applications (as used by the Finnish Government and major Nordic telecoms providers). By utilising Ubisecure identity APIs and technology, applications can be taken to market faster, customer experience can be improved, and privacy regulation can be met.

Ubisecure already has successful DACH partnerships in place for their RapidLEI service – a pioneering technology for automated Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) issuance. In the coming months, Ubisecure will be launching its new Right to Represent (RtX) service across target regions. This will be an evolution of the Identity Platform’s delegation solution and includes an Identity Provider (IdP) service that 3rd party service providers can connect to in order to check company identity and rights of individuals to represent or request on behalf of the company.

Ubisecure has chosen DACH as the next area for expansion due to the regional pace of digital transformation and the growing market demand for solutions that improve identity management, reduce the risk of breaches and help meet privacy regulation. The region has a mature understanding of digital identity and demands high standards for data protection. DACH companies also exhibit a preference for local solution providers and localised data storage.

Volker Zinser brings 20+ years of experience in the IT Security business to his new role, most recently serving as Director of Sales, Cyber Security Solutions at CA Technologies. On joining Ubisecure, Volker says, “I’m very excited to be leading this growth phase in the DACH region as I see lots of opportunity to connect with local partners and customers. Ubisecure is well respected in the digital identity sector, with a strong and unique portfolio and a commitment to innovation. As a partner-first company, I know that Ubisecure will have a high success rate adding value to our partners’ offerings and contributing to the radical digitalisation of DACH businesses and public sector organisations.”

Paul Norris, Head of Sales at Ubisecure said, “Our expansion phase began in 2018 and Ubisecure has already welcomed new Identity Platform customers throughout Europe in the public sector as well as the automotive, IoT and technology sectors. Having an industry veteran of Volker’s experience and stellar reputation join Ubisecure to head the next formal phase of expansion into the DACH region is very good news for our European customers and partners.”

Ubisecure’s new DACH headquarters are based in Munich. Find out more about joining the Ubisecure partner programme, or connect with Volker on LinkedIn.
